Tested Faith ~ Gen. 22:1-2
v.1 After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, “Abraham!” “Here I am,” he answered. v.2 “Take your son,” He said, “your only son Isaac, whom you love, go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you about.”

Assess the Situation ~ Gen. 32:3, 6-8
v.3 Jacob sent messengers ahead of him to his brother Esau in the land of Seir,the country of Edom.
v.6 When the messengers returned to Jacob, they said, “We went to your brother Esau: he is coming to meet you—and he has 400 men with him.” v.7 Jacob was greatly afraid and distressed; he divided the people with him into two camps, along with the flock, cattle, and camels. v.8 He thought, “If Esau comes to one camp and attacks it, the remaining one can escape.”

v.1 The Lord said to Abram: Go out from your land, your relatives, and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. v.2 I will make you into a great nation, I will bless you, I will make you into a great nation, I will bless you, I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. v.3 I will bless those who bless you, I will curse those who treat you with contempt, and all the peoples on earth will be blessed through you.
