Teaching about Holy Week at the Government School
This week has been exciting as I’ve been teaching Primary 5 at the local government school each day. We’ve talked about Holy Week, of course, and today, April 1st, we read some Scriptures from the Bible. Glory to God!
First Classroom Block Progress / Electrical Work Begins
As of April 2nd, the roofing and ceilings are finished on the first classroom block. The electrician and his team have come to do the electrical work. First, they have to chisel, and you can see how they do it here in the video. It’s looking so good, and I’m extremely thankful for everyone who has prayed and given financially! We only have $30,000 remaining of the $184,000 goal to finish the second classroom block. Glory to God!
Easter Sunday Church, Bible Study, and Lunch
Happy Resurrection Sunday!
On April 5th, I was able to take Mama Fab and six of our secondary educational sponsor children to church. After church, we had a short Bible study reading the prophecies in the Old Testament that were fulfilled in the death and resurrection of Jesus! Every year, we have a cake to celebrate with the few children who come for Bible study. The children have a short break over Easter, so most kids have gone home. Once I reached home, I went to my neighbor, Mama Dora’s house and ate chicken, rice, and matoke with her and the kids. I was thankful they let me eat with them, and she was thankful to have a friend come celebrate with them. I took sodas for us to enjoy with the meal. Glory to God!

Planting Finished / Bible Studies about Prayer
Mama Dora and I finally finished planting her beans on Thursday, April 9th. We thanked God for allowing us to be able to plant and get it finished! Now on to weeding, where we’ve been planting for two months!
In both Bible studies over the weekend, we talked about God’s promise to Abraham being passed on to Isaac. We learned in Genesis 24 and 25 that Abraham’s servant prayed to find Isaac’s wife. Isaac prayed for children. Rebekah prayed to inquire of God why the children were struggling within her. God answered all of their prayers.
At the end of the lesson, I prompted the children to write prayer points. Some were very sweet, and I just thank God that He is working in their lives. Glory to Him!
One child wrote about stealing sugar. Stealing is often used by children when they use things at home without gaining verbal permission.

Classroom Block Construction Goal is Close to Being Reached!
Not much has been happening with construction during the week of April 12th. The electrical team finished up the first phase last week and is now waiting for the construction team to begin plastering the first classroom block. Once the plastering is complete, the electrical team will return to finish up their work. The roofing team will hopefully return soon to start working on the second classroom block.
It’s so exciting to see the progress!!
Our goal of $184,000 is quickly being reached. We now need $25,977 to finish both classroom blocks in 2026. Glory to God alone!
I visited the local government school twice this week and taught a lesson to one of the classes. Today we talked about sin and read a book. The students even got to shade (color), which they love to do. I’m so thankful for the opportunity to share the Gospel and biblical truth with these school children. May God use it to change their hearts and save them for His glory!
Construction Resumes
The roofing of the second classroom block began on April 21st. The construction team also began plastering the ceiling of the first classroom block. I am so thankful for everyone who has given financially and prayed for the work! Glory to God Alone!
Construction Continues / Bible Study Attendance Growing
The construction continues. Here is the progress with plastering and roofing.
The Adult weekly Bible study in the village, led by a deacon from my church in Kampala, continues to grow slowly. Four new people came this week. We pray that God works in the hearts of His people, saves them, and sanctifies us through the study of His Word.
This week in the village kids' Bible study, we read about Jacob and Esau.
Glory to God!
Construction Update
The roof is almost finished on the second classroom block. Plastering continues on the first classroom block. Interior painting for the administration building began on April 30th. Many things are happening here these days!! Glory to God alone!
UPDATE: Brick by Brick...Support What God is Building!
We are so thankful to be moving forward with the Building Program to construct a Christian Pre-Primary and Primary Day School. Our current Brick by Brick Capital Campaign is to build two classroom blocks in 2026. Block One will include four classrooms and a library. Block Two will include four classrooms and a computer lab.
The Brick by Brick Capital Campaign goal is $184,000. Our current need to finish the second classroom block is $25,000. God continues to shower DLM with financial blessings.
