In the village Bible study today, we finished our series on the attributes or characteristics of God. Take a listen to what the children learned by God's grace! Glory to God!

Bible study resumed in Kabowa. I called several students who live near the school and a few were interested in coming during the holiday. We will only meet a few times during the holiday time. We talked about Advent.

Today I traveled to Kampala so I could take Fab and Mama Fab to the hospital for his admission for hip replacement surgery scheduled for tomorrow. We thank God for all who have given for Fab’s surgery. We also thank God for all who have lifted him in prayer. The procedure is scheduled for tomorrow. Glory to God!

Fab’s surgery went very well today. He wasn’t in pain afterward but very uncomfortable because he had to keep his legs still until tomorrow. His blood pressure was very high after the procedure but was slowly coming back down before I left at 8:50 pm. He also received some units of blood since his hemoglobin is lower than normal because of sickle cell anemia. Overall, we thank God that the procedure is over, and he is well. He and Mama Fab both told me to send greetings to everyone and send their appreciation to you all for praying! Glory to God Alone!

Another one of our Educational Sponsor children lost a family member recently. Henry lost his father. I went to the burial, which wasn't too far from the DLM ministry home property.

Fabregas is steadily improving and has been walking slowly with a walker. They will soon be giving him crutches to practice walking. The incision looked good when I saw it Saturday. We enjoyed KFC while sitting outside for over an hour. We pray he will be discharged soon. Thank you all for the prayers!! He is not in pain like he was before the surgery so we thank God for immediate relief.

Fab has been discharged! I went to pick him up and take him home today! He is much better and happy to be home. He and Mama Fab thank God for everyone that gave financially and also prayed for the surgery and healing. Glory to God!

Today was my last Bible study in the village with the neighbor kids. We read the story of Jesus's birth in the book of Luke and re-enacted the story! They had never read the full story of the birth of Jesus from the Bible so it was a blessing to be able to read it with them. Glory to God!!

Saying goodbye to my neighbors, Mama Dora, and children before leaving tomorrow! I will miss them!
Sunday, December 22, 2024
Today was my last Bible study with some of the sponsor kids in Kabowa. We looked at some of the Old Testament prophecies that were fulfilled in Jesus's birth. I had to say my goodbyes after we had Bible study before I leave tonight to go to America for Christmas and New Year's. I'm looking forward to vacation time with my family and spending time with my extended family.
