Building Update
We now have the funds to complete the Administration Building!
This is so exciting, and we thank God for every single person who has made it possible by giving to the DLM Primary Boarding School Building Fund!
The remaining work includes installing the exterior/interior doors, windows, plumbing fixtures, lighting fixtures, and many other interior finishes.
The septic system will also begin soon.

During the school holidays, I have Bible study in the village twice a week. The number is also smaller, like the Sunday Bible study in Kabowa, due to the holiday. Some kids visit relatives during this time. We have paused our 'Basics of the Faith' lessons from Little Pilgrims Theology due to numerous absences. I read a storybook to those present today. We learned from the story that to love God means we have to obey God. We read Matthew 22:37 “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”.
Of course, we talked about the Gospel message, the Good news!
Glory to God!

After church, I led Bible Study in Kabowa with some of the sponsored children. During the holiday, the number is small because children are at home or in the village visiting other family members. Most of our Bible Study children come from the boarding students at Jeholand School. We paused our other study and did a small VBS activity book on the armor of God.

It was a rainy day. This is the path I take to reach Mama Dora's home. The area in front of their house is always very slippery after it has rained a lot. During my visit, we read a book about trusting in God.

Ashley arrived in Entebbe on Sunday, May 10, around 10:30 pm. I met her at the airport, of course, and a few hours later, we flew to Kenya for a short vacation with some DLM planning mixed in. She and I spent a few days on Diani Beach, which is on the coast of Kenya on the Indian Ocean. It's always amazing how clear and beautiful it is there on that coast. We enjoyed our time and managed to get a great deal of DLM work done while relaxing by the beach.

I enjoy walking my German Shepherd down to the school site to see the progress of the buildings. The administration building for the DLM Primary Boarding School is coming along nicely. As you can see, the tiling phase is almost complete. The view from the front door is the chapel.
Ashley took a photo of me and my dog Shadow in my office in the administration building. :)
The roof of the chapel is also coming along, as well. Glory to God!

Ashley has been in Africa for a week now, and today we made a long journey to take some of the secondary boarding students back to school for Term Two! I'm so thankful for the opportunity these students have through their sponsors and for the safe journeys God provided today!

Sadat, our driver and friend, drove Ashley and me to Kampala this morning. After eating breakfast, we did some grocery shopping. We then picked up Mama Fab and three of our sponsored children who wanted to come to church with me. After church, we held Bible study in Kabowa with the few kids who were around.

Today, Ashley and I visited two of our sponsored children who live in a different village than most of our other sponsored children. Denis and Pauline are siblings and are orphans. We have sponsored them since 2016. The grandmother and aunt are always so happy to see us and are always extremely grateful for the support.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
I've been slashing the grass here in the village, clearing the paths that lead to the small town and to the borehole/well where people fetch water. I have worked about 2 hours each day on four different days to complete the job.
I love my weed eater and slashing grass, and I also love serving and helping others! I always say thank you to God when people express their appreciation for my work! :) May others see the Lord through my small acts of service.
Here are a couple of before and after pictures!
