Church today with a couple Bible study kids! Glory to God alone!

October 3, 2022

The foundation of the ministry home is coming along nicely. Soil has been compacted and big stones and have been placed in the foundation. The next step is pouring concrete for the smooth slab. All of this is happening today and tomorrow.

October 4, 2022

Today is the final day of working on the foundation!!! So exciting!!! Today was all about team work. Listen to the videos for details, but many guys were combining materials in a mixer to make the concrete. One worker was taking the concrete to the working spot, and another worker was smoothing it out to make the smooth slab.

The standard price to rent this mixer per day is $143, and the cost of fuel for a day is about $58. The guy who operates it for the day is paid about $14. So the total cost of utilizing the cement mixer for a day is about $215. Brian has many, many networks and was able to get a discount on the cost of rental per day. To rent a big truck that pours concrete from it, costs about $715 per day.

Delight in the Lord Ministries is so thankful for Brian and his teams. We are equally thankful for all of you guys for praying and supporting financially!! As we move on to the next phase of constructing the walls, we will continue to need your help! Glory to God Alone!!

Church today with some of my children. Then Bible study with primary 7 kids. We talked about false teachers today and looked at Matthew 7:15-20, 2 Peter 2:1-3, and 2 Corinthians 11:13-15. Glory to God alone!

Matthew 7:15-20 ESV “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.”

2 Peter 2:1-3 ESV

“But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.”

2 Corinthians 11:13-15 ESV

“For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.”

After church yesterday, I met with the Bible study kids.

Following up on our lesson from last week in Matthew 7 about false teachers and recognizing a good tree by its fruit, we looked at the following passage - verses 21-23.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’”

This is a hard truth but necessary to read and learn from the words spoken by Jesus.

The Bible study children and I also sought to answer a tough question. If God has His chosen people that He will draw to himself (John 6:44), why do we share the Gospel? Of course, the main reason is because Jesus commanded us to do so in the great commission. We looked at that passage, too. (Matthew 28:16-20) Another reason is because He uses us as vessels to fulfill His purposes. I teared up talking to them how amazing God is that even though He doesn’t need me or any person to accomplish His plan, He allows us the joy of being a part of His plan! God is so gracious to us. Glory to God alone!!

Let’s give God all the glory for this ministry and for providing the funding through amazing people like you. We have truly seen and continue to see God’s hand in this ministry.

Since our July 19 Kickoff, God has blessed us with nearly $62,000.

With these funds, we have been able to build the teachers’ latrine.

The building of the ministry home has begun, and the foundation is complete!

Praise the Lord!

God has provided the funds to begin constructing the walls of the ministry home and that begins tomorrow.

Our next goal is $25,000! Please help us reach our goal so we can begin the construction of the ceilings and roof. Glory to God Alone!

Phase 2 of building the walls for the ministry home is on the move! Glory to God alone!

Our new goal is to raise $25,000 to complete the next phase of the ministry home (roof and ceilings).

Today in Bible study, we looked at Romans 8:28-30 (ESV) "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified."

We also read Ephesians 1.

Love these kids and growing together with them! Glory to God Alone!
