Bible Studies Resume / Completion of First Classroom Walls

During the first weekend of March, both the Saturday village Bible study and Sunday Kabowa Bible study were back in action. Our first official lesson was this past weekend, which covered Genesis 1, 2, and 3 about creation and the fall. The kids enjoyed their snack of chapati and soda. We reviewed the Gospel message, and I was overjoyed that some kids remembered from November when we last met. Glory to God Alone!

Children in the Kabowa Bible study who joined for the first time received a Bible from DLM. Praise God for supporters who give and allow us to purchase Bibles for the children.

The walls of the first classroom block are almost complete.

Walls of Second Classroom Go Up

On March 4th, after the walls of the first classroom block were completed, the building of the walls for the second classroom block began! The team will hopefully start the roofing for the first classroom block next week!! So exciting! Glory to God alone!

Village Bible Study / Construction Progress Continues

On March 7th in the village Bible study, we read in Genesis about God’s covenant with Abram. We also read in Hebrews that Abraham was recognized for his faith in the Lord! I love these kiddos, especially seeing the few older ones really getting into the lessons. Glory to God!

The walls of the second classroom block were still going up. Roofing for the first classroom block should start in a few days from now!!

Sunday Church in Kampala and Bible Study in Kabowa

Sundays start very early in the morning to travel to Kampala. Mama Fab and one of the sponsored children attended church with me today, March 8th. Following church, I held Bible study in Kabowa. This group includes primary and secondary kids. We are one lesson behind the village Bible study. We will soon be ahead because the children in Kabowa (in Kampala the capital) know English so we can move more quickly through the lessons. We talked about Noah today and the Noahic covenant and read various verses in Genesis, chapters 6 through 9.

Glory to God!

Visit from Elders / Second Classroom Block Wall Construction

God has blessed DLM with such a beautiful home and property, and I love hosting! On Monday and Tuesday, March 9th and 10th, five of the elders from my church in Kampala came out to the property for a two-day work session. Two of the elders shared the gospel with the construction team during their visit. I’m so grateful the workers were able to hear the Gospel in Luganda. May God have mercy on them to change their hearts!

Mama Fab came on Sunday to help with the final cleaning touches and to help cook the meals. What a joy and blessing to host them.

I’m thankful for all who give financially to this ministry to reach and bless so many people. I’m also thankful for a Biblical church. God willing, we will soon have an adult Bible study here in the village that will be led by one of the deacons from my church. I’m so excited for people to hear the truth!

Here are updated pictures of the second classroom block walls being constructed:

Weekend Bible Study / My Garden

In Bible study on Saturday and Sunday, March 14th and 15th, we talked about Abraham’s later life and are continuing to read in Genesis. Glory to God!

I’ve been so busy helping Mama Dora plant her beans that I haven’t taken the time to plant my small garden. Though slowly, slowly, I’m getting there.

I now have some lettuce, okra, zucchini, and cabbage growing. I’ve been trying to weed and even used the tiller on Thursday to prepare the soil to plant more.

Volunteering at the Local Government School / Roofing Begins

Volunteering at the local government school is always exciting. Yesterday, March 17th, I taught Religious Education to the 4th graders. We discussed the gospel, of course. They even learned some Latin! We are saved by grace alone (sola gratia), through faith alone (sola fide), in Christ alone (solus Christus), according to scripture alone (sola scriptura), all for the glory of God alone (soli Deo gloria). I gave them homework and then checked it today!

The roofing for the first classroom block began yesterday. They are moving along quickly. Glory to God!!!

Classroom block progress!!

We are on the last stretch of the Brick by Brick Capital Campaign. As of March 21st, we have received 84% of the $184,000 goal. Please help us wrap up this campaign. We need $30,000 to finish both classroom blocks in 2026.

I’m so grateful for everyone who has given financially toward this campaign and prayed for us as well!!

Volunteering Again / Roof Progress

On March 26th I volunteered at the local government school by teaching the Primary 5 class (like 5th grade) again. Last week, I was able to teach them the Gospel in Religious Education. Today, the students took turns reading aloud this book about Palm Sunday and Jesus entering Jerusalem. They love storybooks and even reading. Unfortunately, they don’t have the opportunity to read books because they don't have a library.

Look at the progress of the first classroom block!! So exciting to see the iron sheets on the roof! As always, Glory to God Alone!

Visitation Day!

Today, March 28th, was Visitation Day (VD) for three of our secondary school sponsor girls. This is the one day in the school term when parents can go to the boarding school to visit their child and get an update on the child’s progress. The girls attend the school, which is 5.5 hours away from my home, or longer, depending on the traffic jams.

I left with a driver this morning at 5:00 am. We reached their school at 10:30 am. I spent a few hours with them before we started the journey back home at 1:45 pm. I thank the Lord that we reached home safely at 7:00 pm.

Tomorrow is VD for the few kids we have at the secondary school in Kabowa. I will visit them, too.

VD for our primary sponsor kids at Jeholand was this past Sunday. I stopped by to see them. This is the location of my Sunday Bible study, and I’m very thankful that the school directors at Jeholand allow me to come every Sunday. Because of Bible study, I am able to see those boarding students weekly.

Many of the kids received new uniforms earlier this term. They were very happy, as you can see. I saw our Secondary kids at school during their break time a couple weeks ago when I had to go to Kampala during the week.

We are thankful for all of our educational sponsors who make this possible for these kids!! Glory to God!

UPDATE: Brick by Brick...Support What God is Building!

If you missed our November 18th Fundraising Event, please take a look at two videos from that evening. https://www.delightinthelordministries.org/copy-of-the-plan

We are so thankful to be moving forward with the Building Program to construct a Christian Pre-Primary and Primary Day School. Our current Brick by Brick Capital Campaign is to build two classroom blocks in 2026. Block One will include four classrooms and a library. Block Two will include four classrooms and a computer lab.

The Brick by Brick Capital Campaign goal is $184,000. Last month, we reported the need for $51,512.83 to complete the two classroom blocks. In just over a month, the Lord has provided significant donations. We are so excited to announce that as of April 7, the need is $27,832.14. We are in awe of God's abundance. Glory to God for his financial provisions.

If you feel led to give to the Brick by Brick Capital Campaign, please use this link.
